Cookie Policy
Last updated: 5 October 2026
This page lists every cookie and every piece of browser storage this website uses, what each one is for, and how to refuse the ones that are not necessary.
The short version
We set three cookies. Two are necessary to serve and protect the site. One counts visits, and it is only set if you accept it. We do not use advertising cookies, we do not track you across other websites, and we do not sell anything about you.
What we set
| Name | Set by | What it does | How long it lasts | Do we need your consent |
|---|---|---|---|---|
__cf_bm | Cloudflare, our security provider | Tells human visitors apart from automated traffic and protects the site from abuse | 30 minutes | No, strictly necessary |
__dpl | Our hosting platform | Makes sure your browser is served files from one consistent version of the site | 12 months | No, strictly necessary |
session-id | Our own analytics script | Groups the pages you look at into one visit, so we can count visits instead of counting page views | 30 minutes | Yes, only set if you accept analytics |
cs-cookie-consent | This website | Remembers whether you accepted or refused analytics, so we do not ask again | Until you clear it | No, it records your own choice |
tsr-scroll-restoration | This website | Puts you back at the same scroll position when you use the back button. Stored in session storage, not a cookie | Until you close the tab | No, strictly necessary |
What the analytics actually collects
If you accept analytics, our own script records, for each page view: the page address, the page that referred you, your browser’s user-agent string, your browser language, the country your device time zone points to, basic page speed measurements, and the 30 minute session identifier above.
The country comes from your device time zone setting, not from your IP address. The script does not send your IP address, although, as with any request on the internet, the server receiving it can see it.
These events are processed on our behalf by Tinybird, a data analytics provider, acting as our processor. They are not used for advertising, not combined with anything else, and not shared for anyone else’s purposes.
How to refuse or change your mind
Choose “Essential only” when the banner appears, and no analytics cookie is set and no analytics data is sent.
To change your choice later, use “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block the two strictly necessary cookies, parts of the site may not work properly.
Legal basis
We rely on your consent for the analytics cookie, under Regulation 6 of the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003. The two strictly necessary cookies fall within the exemption in that Regulation, because without them we cannot serve or protect the site.
How we handle personal information more generally is set out in our Privacy Policy. Any question: admin@crownsash.com.
